Top U.S. Cities for Meetings and Events
From scratchy telephone connections to confusing video conferencing, sometimes there's nothing like meeting face-to-face. When it comes to meeting destinations in the U.S., its Orlando, Washington DC and Las Vegas that lead the pack.
“Meetings and conventions are important revenue generators for cities, supporting not only the meeting venues and hotels, but also local restaurants, entertainment and numerous other businesses within the city,” said Bharet Malhotra, vice president of sales for the Cvent Supplier Network, in a news release. Cvent offers event management solutions. The survey of cities was released last month.

The top 10 cities for meeting destinations are:
1. Orlando, Fla.
2. Washington, DC
3. Las Vegas, Nev.
4. Miami, Fla.
5. Chicago, Ill.
6. San Diego, Calif.
7. Phoenix, Ariz.
8. Atlanta, Ga;
9. Dallas, Texas
10. New Orleans, LA.
