China Plays for Growth: Tim Seymour

Investing in China has become increasingly attractive, EmergingMoney.com's Tim Seymour said Thursday on CNBC.

"The data last night tells you again GDP is not going to 9½ percent anytime soon, but it's ticking higher. The retail sales is what is encouraging, the consumer consumption that everybody wants to see," he said on "Fast Money."

"Look, folks, this is not going to happen overnight, but it is happening," he added. "And the green shoots in the new part of the economy, there is stuff going on."

Seymour also noted growth in real estate and in the service sectors.

"What is happening, though, is that the Street is coming around on this, so money is flowing into China," he said.

Ways to play China, Seymour said, were China ETF FXI, as well as miners and coal: Vale, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Teck Resources.

Noted investor Dennis Gartman sounded positive on the Asia play.

"I think you have to look at the numbers and realize that at 7.4 percent, that is far better than a lot of people have talked about," he said. "It will be much stronger six months from now."
