Apple's Forstall 'Got What He Deserved': iPod Inventor

Apple's former head of iOS Scott Forstall "got what he deserved" when he was fired from the tech giant in October, said Tony Fadell, the inventor of the iPod.
Reports indicate that Forstall was pushed out of the company after refusing to apologize for Apple's flawed Maps application. He was also known as not getting along with other executives, including Fadell when he worked at Apple .
"Scott got what he deserved," Fadell said in a BBC report. "I think what happened just a few weeks back was deserved and justified and it happened."
Fadell, who left the company in 2010, said that Forstall's departure will actually benefit the company.
"If you read some of the reports, people were cheering in Cupertino when that event happened," he told the BBC. "So, I think Apple is in a great space, it has great products and there are amazing people at the company, and those people actually have a chance to have a firm footing now and continue the legacy Steve [Jobs] left."
Forstall couldn't be located for comment.
