Kartika Wirjoatmodjo is president director and chief financial officer for Bank Mandiri.
A progressive financial strategist, equiped with complete perspectives from being a consultant, a professional banker as well as regulator specialized in corporate finance, strategy and transformation. Graduated with a BSc in Economics and Accounting from Universitas Indonesia and a Master Of Business Administration from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
His early career included roles at RSM AJJ, Industrial Bank of Japan and PWC before taking a position at The Boston Consulting Group in 2000, where he moved up to the level of Senior Consultant.
In 2003 he was appointed Vice President at PT Bank Mandiri, where he develop and implement the Bank Mandiri Transformation Programme 2005-2010, analyzing the Indonesian banking market and competitors. In 2005 he was promoted to Senior Vice President, establishing strategic direction, preparing financial statements analysis and development, establishing and managing framework and policies of the Performance Management System.
In 2008 he was appointed Managing Director of PT Mandiri Sekuritas, a special assignment to implement comprehensive financial restructuring and business refocusing, post 2008 capital market crash.
He moved to the role of President and CEO of PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance in 2011, having been assigned by the Finance Minister to set up a newly established institution (JV between Minister of Finance, IFC, ADB and DEG) to promote infrastructure investment in Indonesia.
In 20014 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Member of Board of Commissioner of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation. He was assigned by the President of Republic Indonesia to lead independent institution to insure deposit insurance's fund and to actively participate in promoting stability for the country's financial system in accordance with its authorized mandate.
He returned to PT. Bank Mandiri in 2015 as Managing Director and CFO for the bank, responsible for performing strategic financial planning for the Bank's future performance.
