As we told you, Chris finished dead last and in 10th place in Trading with the Stars. But no matter, his favorite charity--Wounded Warriors--got $5,000 for having Chris just play. Thanks Chris for taking the time to be part of Trading with the Stars.

  • Contest Stocks: Celeb Had Right Idea For Everyone Thursday, 10 May 2007 | 10:03 AM ET

Well, our contest "stock report" has some interesting news. One of the best performers was a stock (FWLT) that celeb/actor Stephen Collins had on his list--and one that put him in the lead of Trading With The Stars (more on that in another post). In fact, it was the best of the best performers. And one pick that made the most actives, was one recommended yesterday by guest blogger Timothy Sykes--SIX. Here you go...

  • Celeb Collins Still Has Plans To Win Stars Contest Wednesday, 9 May 2007 | 2:51 PM ET
    Stephen Collins

We had one other celebrity appear today on CNBC. Actor Stephen Collins was on "Morning Call" to talk about his adventures in Trading With The Stars. Stephen is currently in 2nd place. He says he's got a couple of "hail mary" plays up his sleeve. He better hurry--as we've said, Trading With The Stars ends this Friday.

  • Celeb Bench: Throw Me A Parade If I Win! Wednesday, 9 May 2007 | 2:24 PM ET
    Johnny Bench

So, it's bottom of the ninth, two out, the home team is down one run, there's a man on third and Johnny Bench is up at the plate (let's make this the year 1976). That's a pretty good scenario for sure in baseball. But having Hall of Famer Johnny B. as your stock picker might not be the best choice--as the Trading With The Stars portion ends this Friday. Johnny is currently in 5th place which is certainly a lot better than being in last.

  • Celebs "Acting Up A Storm" In Last Days Of Trades Wednesday, 9 May 2007 | 11:31 AM ET

The top 4 celebrities remain constant with Jonathan Tucker holding onto his lead with only $62,581.29 separating him from Stephen Collins. • Celeb Gold: "Do Better When You Don't Care!" Tuesday, 8 May 2007 | 1:39 PM ET

She made an appearance on "Morning Call" today to talk about her latest stock picks--and how much fun she's had. She did say that not caring as much as she does now, actually helped her in the very beginning when she was number two.

  • Celeb Collins Aims For Top Spot With Stars Tuesday, 8 May 2007 | 11:57 AM ET

It's certainly coming down to the wire in Trading With The Stars. As we said, this is the last week for this part of the Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge. • Actors Find Non-Actors "Threatening!" (In Contest) Friday, 4 May 2007 | 11:47 AM ET
    Johnny Bench

The actors have been doing pretty well lately in Trading With The Stars, but the non-acting celebs are making a move--including Johnny Bench (so, his picture gets posted). Jonathan Tucker still holds first place on modest gains in Washington Grp and Starwood Hotels. Stephen Collins takes back 2nd place on gains in Emergency Medical Services up 10.13% Thursday. But poker champ Chris Moneymaker moves from 8th to 5th on a 2.73% gain in Gigamedia..

  • Actors Lead The Way In "Star Trading" Thursday, 3 May 2007 | 11:22 AM ET
    James Tucker

The first four celebs remain the same in Trading With The Stars--and all actors. Actor Jonathan Tucker maintains his vice grip on first place with gains in Starwood Hotels and Washington Grp. Actor James Cromwell holds onto second place, as fellow actors Stephen Collins remains in 3rd and Ernie Hudson in 4th.  Meanwhile--another actor--Willie Garson muscles his way from 9th to 5th on an all-in trade on ACME Packet up 4.05% on Wednesday. Wow--either actors are great stock pickers are they're ALL getting great advice. That leaves a financial guru, comedienne, champion poker player, political guru and Hall of Famer--in that order.

  • Celeb Tucker Holds Lead: Cromwell Takes 2nd Spot! Wednesday, 2 May 2007 | 11:52 AM ET

Only $982 separates James and Stephen--and lower down in the rankings--only about $200 separate Chris Moneymaker and Judy Gold. Willie falls from 5th to 9th losing over $72K and falling under $1M in total portfolio value, taking a hit on his sale of Glatfelter--which fell almost 7% Tuesday.
