Atos Origin's Full-Year Revenue Declines

Atos Origin, a France-based information technology services provider, said Monday that full-year revenue dipped slightly as business declined in the U.K.

Sales in the year through Dec. 31 fell to 5.4 billion euros ($7 billion) from 5.5 billion euros, the company said in a statement. Revenue from U.K.-based operations fell 13%. Excluding the U.K., group sales rose 5.4%.

"Our objectives are clear, to strengthen the management team, restore the profitability in the U.K., Italy and other low-performing countries, implement the new organization and ensure that the transformation plan is effective," Chief Executive Bernard Bourigeaud said.

By year end, all the major contracts in the U.K. pipeline had been signed and will start "contributing progressively" in 2007, the company said.

Atos will announce full-year earnings Feb. 28.

The shares dropped 4.5% to 42.28 euros ($54.82).
