Wal-Mart Offers Free Shipping to Its Stores

Wal-Mart Stores, the world's largest retailer, Tuesday said it will offer shoppers free shipping of merchandise purchase online to its stores.

The Site to Store service, which Wal-Mart has been testing since 2004, will be rolled out immediately to more than 750 stores in New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and select areas of Texas, California, Colorado, Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi.

The company plans to expand the program to its more than 3,300 stores nationwide by late summer.
