In “Fast Money World,” Tim Strazzini goes dialing for dollars. You know about the rally in telecom here at home, but south of the border, telecom stocks have been hot, hot hot!
That fire got a dose of gasoline today with news that South American cell phone provider America Movil (AMX) is in talks to acquire a 33% stake in an Italian telecom operator. What does all this consolidation mean for you?
Tim says the deal has been in the works for a while. Telecom Italia (TI) has almost a monopoly in Italy.
What’s the trade? Asks Dylan.
Tim says buy AMX. and TI and, he adds, investor should look at buying US telecom companies, too.
Eric Bolling recommends NIH Holdings (NIHD), which was formerly Nextel. Eric calls the stock “unbelievable.” He sold his shares at $50 and says he’s had seller’s remorse ever since.
