CNBC Extends Reach through 3 Additional Mobile Operators in Asia Pacific

Singapore, 6 February, 2007 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, has extended its content distribution in the Asia Pacific, by adding 3 more regional telecommunications operators to its current suite of mobile players; M1 in Singapore, Telkomsel in Indonesia and Mobitel in Cambodia.

M1 will be carrying live streaming of the CNBC channel.  CNBC’s video on demand clips are already distributed on the Singtel mobile platform in Singapore.

Telkomsel will be carrying live streaming of the channel, as well as offering a suite of CNBC clips through the video-on-demand service In Indonesia.  CNBC is the first regional business and financial news channel to be distributed on Telkomsel.

Mobitel will also be offering live streaming of the CNBC channel, as well as the CNBC clips through video-on-demand service.  Additionally, a selection of these clips will also be aired on CTN, a free-to-air network, reaching 2.5 million households in Cambodia.  CNBC is the first regional news channel to be distributed on Mobitel.

“The penetration of our mobile content into Indonesia and Cambodia, as well the availability of our content on major mobile operators in Singapore, is a reflection of the demand for our real time financial news and comprehensive business analysis being available anytime anywhere,” said Jeremy Pink, President and Managing Director, CNBC Asia Pacific.  “We are delighted to be partnering with M1, Telkomsel and Mobitel to extend our reach further.”

“CNBC has made developing our mobile business an integral part of our digital strategy last year, and we will continue to do so this year as well,” Pink concludes.
