Contest Stocks: FMT Comes Full Circle

Hey folks, here's one of our last contest stock reports. And it's somewhat appropriate we do so as we are coming back full circle to the start of the contest with Fremont General once again on the actives list based on their news about its reorganization, selling a unit, and installing new management. Here you go:

Best performing trades by % gain from Tuesday's close to Wednesday's close:
Stride Rite up 30.809%--as the company agreed to a buyout from Payless.
Fremont General up 26.7%--up on continued optimism from its new retail banking strategy.
Impac Mortgage up 17.21%-- amid signs that the subprime woes may be over.
Payless Shoes up 10.157%--as Stride Rite agreed to a buyout.
Men's Wearhouse up 9.7497%--on strong earnings.
Bristow Group up 8.8147% on strong earnings.

Worst performing trades by % loss from Monday's close to Tuesday's close:
Analog Devices down 9.9703% on weak earnings.
Spartan Stores down 8.3421%.
Comtech Group down 7.9339% as the company raised price target--reiterated buy rating.
STATS ChipPAC down 7.2095%--on possible suspension from the Singapore Exchange.
ValueClick down 6.7714% as the stock was downgraded to Neutral from Outperform.
Dillards down 6.5574% on weak earnings.
