NBC named company veteran Katherine Pope as president of NBC Universal Television Studio.
Pope's recruitment as head of the unit marks the first key management hire by new NBC Entertainment and NBC Universal Television Studio Co-Chairmen Marc Graboff and Ben Silverman.
"She is an unbelievable executive," Silverman said in a prepared statement.
In addition, Pope's position as executive vice president of NBC Entertainment will be filled by Teri Weinberg, who worked previously with Silverman at his TV production firm Reveille as head of scripted programming.
Weinberg, co-executive producer of popular TV show "The Office," will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of NBC Entertainment's scripted development.
