Fertilizer maker Agrium (AGU) raised its outlook this week, causing a surge in a crucial member of Eric Bolling's much celebrated and successful "Ag play" to breakout. Is fertilizer a key way to play the Ag boom?
Eric Bolling says the Fast Money "Ag Play" is up 59% in one year. (In case you wondering, the Ag play is comprised of Eric’s 4 picks in the agriculture space. They are Agrium (AGU) Bunge (BG), Deere (DE) and Monsanto (MON).
Today Eric introduces the "Ag Play B-Team”. These picks are Syngenta (SYT), CF Industries (CF), Toro (TTC) and General Mills (GIS).
Eric explains the space is ripping because farmers are making more money this year from corn. (That’s because corn is needed to make ethanol.) Consequently farmers are spending more money on things like fertilizer, seed and tractors.
Pete Najarian adds that he likes The Mosaic Co (MOS).
