The Hurricane Trade

The Dow might have dropped over 200 points Tuesday, but oil and natural gas prices jumped on fears that Tropical Storm Dean could strike key energy facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. What’s the hurricane trade now?

Jeff Ranieri of NBC's Weather Plus is closely monitoring the storm and joins the guys for this conversation.

Ranieri says as of Tuesday the storm has winds of 40mph gusting to 52mph and by Friday meteorologists will know whether it will reach hurricane status or not.

He adds there are two different paths it could take. One model suggests Dean could head into the Gulf. Another model suggests it could head up the Atlantic.

Ranieri and the entire crew at NBC Weather Plus will be watching developments closely.

In the meantime, Guy Adami tells the panel his hurricane play is Flour Corp. (FLR)

Pete Najarian also likes Halliburton (HAL), National-Oilwell (NOV) and Weatherford International (WFT).
