The Latest Picks That Paid

Quicker Ticker

Our traders are good - but you knew that!  Check out their latest picks that paid.

Karen Finerman

On September 6th The Chairwoman recommended buying Meridian Gold (MDG). At the time she said, "Meridian Gold looks very interesting.  They received a hostile bid…and there are at least 2 other bidders interested in the company."

Then on September 7th she recommended Northern Orion (NTO). At the time she said "Everything is working for Northern. It's great."

The Chairwoman, turned gold digger, came up with two shiny trades. Shares of both miners hit the mother-load this week. Meridian is up 15% and Northern Orion soared 30% since Finerman’s calls

Jeff Macke

On September 13th The Lone Wolf recommended shorting CarMax (KMX). At the time he said, “They’re a great short. They sell used cars and they finance the be-jeebers out of them.”

Macke spotted the next subprime lemon that was steering toward a head-on collision. If you had followed his “turn by turn” directions and shorted this used car dealership, you’d be up 10%.

Pete Najarian

On September 14th The Pit Boss recommended buying Cree (CREE). He said, “Keep an eye on Cree. It had huge (options) activity on the Friday before Labor Day weekend."

The maker of LED’s for flatscreen TV’s lit up this week. It climbed 15% since Najarian’s call.

Guy Adami

On August 16th The Negotiator correctly anticipated the ups and downs of Goldman Sachs (GS). At the time he recommended buying GS believing he spotted a bottom. Consequently, shares rallied 22% from mid-August. Then, on September 19th, the day before Goldman released earnings Adami spotted the top and said “We've had a huge run in Goldman. Take profits, now!”

He was dead on. Goldman blew-out the numbers, but the stock shrank 2% which completes this perfectly timed trade.
