NIKKEI Correspondents provide LIVE business and financial news from Japan on CNBC’s Worldwide Exchange

Singapore, 21 September 2007 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, and Nikkei Inc. have strengthened their partnership by creating, in collaboration, a special segment on CNBC’s live global daily business news program, Worldwide Exchange.  To be launched on 1 October 2007, the segment will be known as The NIKKEI Business Report.

Business is global, and Worldwide Exchange is the 1st LIVE global business and financial news program, focusing on global investment issues, and analyzing the trends and economic indicators that are influencing those who are investing across international markets.  Tapping on the Network’s global resources and expertise, "Worldwide Exchange" is simulcast from Singapore, London and New York, providing a global audience, news and information at the close of the trading day from Asia, the middle of the trading day in Europe and the pre-market action in the U.S. "Worldwide Exchange" is aired every business day, in Asia from 5 pm to 7 pm SIN / HK time (6 pm to 8 pm Japan time), 10 am to Noon CET (9 am-11 am in the UK) and 4 am to 6 am EST in the U.S.

The launch of ‘The NIKKEI Business Report’, on Worldwide Exchange, is a perfect complement to the program. During the segment, Nikkei’s renowned newspaper reporters will provide LIVE reporting of the biggest breaking business, financial and economic news and information from Japan, one of the stronger and more dynamic economies in Asia. Market movements in Japan have implications on global businesses, and reports from credible and experienced Nikkei journalists, live from Tokyo, will add a powerful dimension to the Worldwide Exchange.  This segment will be aired globally anytime between 5.30 pm and 5.45 pm SIN / HK (6.30 pm and 6.45 pm Japan time), 10.30 am and 10.45 am CET (9.30 am and 9.45 am in the UK) and 4.30 am and 4.45 am EST in the US.
