A basket of biotech stocks is a safer way to play the industry’s predicted year-end breakout instead of going all in on just one or two. So Fast Money came up with a couple of homemade ETFs that capitalize on the historically strong fourth quarter in biotech.
Pete Najarian took the best of the biotech world and created The Fast Money biotech basket. They are a well-diversified basket of names within the sector that takes advantage of assorted drug pipelines and diagnostics plays:
Isis Pharmaceuticals (ISIS)
For the less-active investor Karen Finerman put together a mix of mutual funds that will provide the exposure to biotech without all the risk:
T. Rowe Price Health Sciences (PRHSX)
BlackRock Health Sciences (SHSAX)
Vanguard Health Care (VGHCX)
