Dear Jim: All people may not like your picks – especially when it goes against their positions, but as the owner of a consumer-advocate website, I just have to applaud your honesty. It is very tempting to recommend a stock just because a CEO shakes your hand and asks for your help, but as you demonstrated many times and most recently on your call with the CEO of Perry Ellis , you provided your viewers with your honest opinion of the company without worry that you might upset the CEO. Thanks for keeping it real. --Mark
Cramer says: “I wanted to praise that guy. I think he sounded like a great guy … but Phillips-Van Heusen I like more. I wanted to give him his chance, and I’m glad we had him on.”
Dear Jim: I enjoyed your diatribe (an S.A.T. word?) against Walgreen last night, and I'm wondering if they may now pursue a course similar to CVS and acquire a pharmacy benefits manager. If so, which one might it be? --Ranlando
Cramer says: “Walgreen is still too expensive. CVS is still cheaper than Walgreen. I don’t care what Walgreen does … you stay away from Walgreen!”
