Lightning Round: GameStop, Verizon, Bear Stearns and More

GameStop : Cramer liked GME as a trade right before Christmas on the trifecta of Guitar Hero, Rockband and Nintendo Wii. He wouldn’t buy it again until next Christmas.

NYSE Eruonext : This stock has tortured Cramer but he still advises giving it a chance to let CEO Duncan Niederauer prove himself. Don’t sell it down here but don’t buy it until it goes down to $63, he said.

Lightning Round

Arch Coal : The worldwide coal shortage will benefit Arch Coal, Cramer said. Buy it as an export play.

First Solar : With oil on the move again, Cramer thinks First Solar is “going to do great.”

Embraer Empresa : Cramer would much prefer buying other Brazil plays like American Movil or Vale to this airline and train manufacturer.

National Oilwell Varco : Oil rigs can’t be manufactured fast enough, Cramer said, and that’s good news for NOV. “It’s in the hot seat.”

Level 3 : The last quarter was good but Cramer needs another solid report out of the company before he can fully recommend it.

Sherwin Williams : The stock has come in 20 points and Cramer would use the opportunity to get in.

NAVTEQ : Sell the whole GPS group, Cramer said.

Activision : The stock is “played out,” as far as Cramer is concerned. Don’t buy it back yet.

Bear Stearns : Cramer believes Bear will get bought eventually and for that reason he would stick with it.

Verizon : Buy it for the yield or because it’s cheap or because the dividend will probably get boosted, Cramer said.
