So as the country awaits the Air Force's decision on whether Boeing or Northrop Grumman will build the next generation of air refueling tankers--worth $40 billion--we were told the decision could come down as soon as the market closed on Monday. One way we've been monitoring the situation is by keeping tabs on the Air Force web siteI keep "refreshing" that page...but shortly before 5 pm ET Monday, I suddenly saw this:
You don't have permission to access "http://www.af.mil/" on this server.
After trying to access the page from different computers within CNBC, we called the Air Force press office to find out what was wrong. "Wow, I didn't know that," a spokesman told us. After he tried and failed to get on the same web page, he said, "You're right!"
