It's the American way. Work hard all your life. Save and scrimp and then retire to Miami.
But hold on Blanche. 21st century retirement looks a little different than an episode of The Golden Girls. And the baby boomers, our country's largest population group, aren't like the retirees of the past. They are wealthier, healthier, and looking for adventure in their golden years.
Boomers make up about a fifth of Miami and businesses from wealth managers to cruise lines are catering to their expensive needs. Take Royal Caribbean for example, They offer boomer singles cruises with salsa lessons and water aerobics.
So, what's the trade as this new breed of retirees begin their Miami migration?
I love Amerprise (AMP) and Raymond James (RJF) says Guy Adami. Also look at Zimmer (ZMH) and Stryker (SYK) as boomer plays. But they’re not quick trades. These are the kinds of stocks you buy and hold.
Or look at Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) counsels Pete Najarian.
