Suze Orman: Making Cents From Market Mayhem

What does the Bear buy-out mean for Main Street? Find out from America’s most recognized personal finance expert, CNBC’s Suze Orman.

Following is a synopsis of the main points made by Suze Orman during her appearance on Fast Money.

What does the Bear buy-out mean for Main Street?

Most people don’t know how to make sense of these events, says Orman. And, in my estimation, they're afraid and they’re putting their head in the sand.

It’s important to remember that most people don’t own stock outright. They’re connected to the market through a 401K or retirement plan.

What should they do?

It’s time to take out the plan and really look at it and understand it, replies Orman. Make sure your retirement is diversified and not made up entirely of company stock.
