Recession or no recession following are some trends that can make you money right now!
River Twice Research president Zachary Karabell joins the panel for this conversation. Following are 3 trends he recommends watching.
Americans Are Buying Flat Panels
With $162 billion dollars in economic stimulus checks in the mail consumers could well indulge themselves and buy flat screen TV’s. I think that could benefit Corning stock which makes the glass.
Americans Are Vacationing Domestically
Families are canceling plans to go overseas because the dollar is weak. That should make for good consumer spending inside the U.S. I like Disney on this trend, not only for the theme parks but for their new movies coming out.
Americans Are Buying Sportswear Ahead of the Beijing Olympics
And off-camera Karabell told our producers that the Olympics could spark a frenzy of sports apparel buying. He thinks Nike could benefit.
