AMR Corp. moved into the 19th spot in the most widely helds after falling more than 24% Wed on news of cutting capacity and charging passengers for checked bags due to high fuel costs. Yamana Gold took the 20th spot in the widely helds as gold prices have moved up over 7% this week. AMR and Yamana replaced Sprint and National City . in the top widely held list.
Financials still comprise 25% of the widely helds, but there is now a three-way tie for second with Consumer Discretionary, Industrials and Information Technology all comprising 15% of the top widely held stocks. The Financials are the worst performing sector in 2008 down over 15 % YTD.
