Three Hours with Warren Buffett: Download the Complete CNBC Transcript

Warren Buffett generated several headlines when he appeared live throughout CNBC Squawk Box's three-hours on August 22, including the revelation that he's been adding to Berkshire's stake in either American Express or Wells Fargo .

In keeping with his signature coyness, however, he wouldn't say which one is getting his attention.

(Both stocks moved higher from the close the night before on August 21 to Wall Street's most recent close on August 29, with American Express up 2.3 percent and Wells Fargo gaining 3.1 percent.  The S&P 500 index slipped 0.7 percent lower during the same period.)

That's just one of the many topics he covered with Becky Quick, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac , the economy, the presidential race, Wall Street's nudist colony and why supporters of John Edward should think about suing him.

Warren Buffett Watch featured six posts of video clips and transcripts that day, along with a live blog and an Executive Summary.  (Links are in the red box below.)

Today you can download the complete transcript as a convenient PDF (Adobe Acrobat) file.

The transcript of Buffett's three-hour "Ask Warren" appearance on Squawk last March is also still available, in case you want to start your own collection.
