According to CNBC’s John Harwood, the Obama administration has made a new choice for Commerce secretary.
And their pick is former Washington Governor Gary Locke, the nation's first Chinese-American governor who served two terms, ending in 2005.
As you may remember Republican Senator Judd Gregg withdrew his nomination earlier in the month because of "irresolvable" differences over policy issues, including the $789 billion economic stimulus package.
Also, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson withdrew his nomination amid a federal investigation of state contracts.
