Sarah Ketterer, portfolio manager at Causeway Capital Management, and Arthur Hogan, managing director at Jeffries, shared their investing strategies.
“This is a great time to be invested internationally,” Ketterer told CNBC at the Morningstar Investment Conference in Chicago. “There are opportunities across a full spectrum of industries, especially cyclical stocks, taking advantage of economic upturns.”
Ketterer said while she is concerned about the loan growth and the loose monetary policies in China, she advised investors to look into defensives and health care when the cyclicals move up.

In the meantime, Hogan said he sees opportunities in the commodities.
“I think the commodity play is going to continue,” he said. “You have to look at mining stocks and energy stocks.”
