General Motors is already hard at work, trying to win back consumers with new advertising.
A new commercial, which launches Wednesday, is already available online. The spot attempts to tell consumers about how it is trying to start fresh.
"Let's be completely honest: No company wants to go through this," says the spot, from Interpublic Group of Cos.' Deutsch, Los Angeles.
The ad continues: "The only chapter we're interested in is chapter one."

Notably, the ad drives people to a new websitededicated to showing consumers how GM is reinventing itself.
The site includes the "Fastlane Blog" written by CEO Fritz Henderson, that talks about how the company will be striving to be transparent and keep up open communications with customers. To that point, GM will be hosting a series of live Web Chats. The first one is June 4 at 3 p.m.
