Jobs Of The Future?

Looking for a job? The Obama administration says it can help.

In a report called “Preparing the Workers of Today for the Jobs of Tomorrow,’ the administration highlighted the ‘green’ and healthcare sectors as the fastest growing sectors in terms of employment.

This report could not come at a better time. Right now, the U.S. unemployment rate reached 9.5% last month, the highest since 1983. That number, according to President Obama, is likely to head higher exceeding 10%.

On the Closing Bell, Christina Romer, chair of President Obama's Council of Economic Adviser, told Maria that the report shows a high return for workers with skills and training.

Romer suggested the financial services sector will shrink over time and that the manufacturing job market will continue to decline.

The Obama team in recent weeks has seen a wave of criticism hinting the $787 billion stimulus package has been slow to show benefits while unemployment has been on the rise.

Guess time will tell on the labor front.
