Following are the day’s biggest winners and losers. Find out why shares of Abercrombie & Fitch and Nucor popped while Tivo and Micron dropped.
POPS (stocks that jumped higher)
Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) popped 3%. Investors made bullish bets on this teen retailer ahead of Black Friday. - I think it's rich, says Guy Adami.
Nucor (NUE) popped 3%. Better than expected economic data sent this and other steel makers off to the races. - I'd sell it against $45, says Joe Terranova. It's rallied into that resistance level. Hot rolled steel prices are down.
Honda (HMC) popped 5%. At an average of 23.6 mpg the EPA said this company had the most fuel efficient fleet in the U.S. - Also, they got an important analyst upgrade in Japan and new data shows they're growing in China, adds Tim Seymour.
Nvidia (NVDA) popped 1%. The company won a patent dispute with rival Rambus. - If you must trade it, I'd enter it around $12, says Steve Grasso.
Bank Of Ireland (IRE) popped 3%. The bank said it doesn't plan on seeking more funds from the government. - Good for them, says Tim Seymour.
DROPS (stocks that slid lower)
Tivo (TIVO) dropped 7%. Although the company posted a loss that matched expectations, the company’s revenue forecasts came in below Wall Street targets. - I'd stay away, says Steve Grasso. But if you must trade it $10 looks like support and $12 looks like resistance.
Micron (MU) dropped 1%. UBS removed this company from its 'short term buy' list. - There are better names in the space, says Guy Adami.
Halliburton (HAL) dropped 1%. The company said a reduction in its Mexico operations will hurt fourth quarter earnings. - I'd rather be in integrated names, says Joe Terranova.
