Despite advances in air travel over the past decade, passenger satisfaction with airports has lagged behind the rest of the travel industry, according to J.D. Power and Associates, who recently ranked satisfaction in North American Airports.
In its 2010 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, airports were ranked on a variety of criteria, including airport accessibility, check in/baggage check process, facilities, security checkpoints and food and retail services. Airports were also separated into three categories by size: Large (30 million+ passengers/year), Medium (10-30 million passengers/year) and small (<10 million passengers per year).
