China will release its first-quarter GDP info on Thursday. What must you know?
According to our news partner Reuters, expect China to say its economy grew about 11.9 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier.
Those results not only would top expectations but they would suggest that China’s economy is expanding at the fastest annual pace in nearly three years.
Also watch CPI data out of China, counsels Fast Money emerging markets trader Tim Seymour. “I’m a little worried about inflation.”
However, according to Reuters, Seymour’s fears may be unfounded.
Reuters expects to hear consumer price inflation in March was roughly 2.4 percent,. That would be a deceleration from the 2.7 percent rate in February and below forecasts of 2.6 percent.

Under The Radar: South Korea
If you regularly put money to work overseas you might want to take a hard look at South Korea.
After contracting sharply in 2008, Asia's fourth-largest economy recorded four straight quarters of growth in 2009.
That kind of economic strength combined with South Korea’s aggressive response to its weak banking system led Moody’s to upgrade the nation’s bond ratings to A1 with a stable outlook from A2 -- the first increase since July 2007. (A1 is the fifth-highest level and six rungs above "junk" status.)
"The change has been prompted by Korea's demonstration of an exceptional level of economic resilience to the global crisis, while containing the government's budget deficit," said Tom Byrne, a Moody's senior vice president, in a written announcement.
