Fluor receives $170M pact for project in Peru


Fluor Corp. has received a $170 million contract to work on Newmont Mining project in Peru.

The Engineering and construction management company will be responsible for providing overall engineering, procurement and construction management services for work performed at the Minas Conga site through the second quarter of 2011.

Shares of Fluor gained $2.49, or 5.4 percent, to $48.44 in afternoon trading. Over the last year, the stock has traded in a range of $39.77 to $58.62.
