Goldman's chief Japan economist to join Barclays - Nikkei


May 11 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs Japan Co's chief Japan economist, Tetsufumi Yamakawa, will join Barclays Capital Japan Ltd next month, the Nikkei business daily reported. Yamakawa will be co-head of the research division at Barclays Capital, overseeing economic research as well as stock and bond investment strategy proposals, the paper said. The Nikkei said Yamakawa will help Barclays to expand information services for investors. Yamakawa left the Bank of Japan to join Goldman Sachs in 1994, the paper said.
