Molson Coors Employees Lend a Helping Hand to Local Community Organizations During Month of Action

DENVER, May 10, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Investing in the community where its employees live and work is at the core of Molson Coors Brewing Company's corporate values. That commitment came to life recently when chief financial officer Stewart Glendinning assembled a team to volunteer at Denver's Food Bank of the Rockies. Fourteen volunteers worked together in an assembly line to package food for families and seniors in need.

"Our company has a long and proud heritage of volunteer work and community involvement and I was honoured to be a part of the team that brought that commitment to life at the food bank," said Glendinning. "Not many of us realized how much it takes to feed a family. In less than four hours, our team packed 13,965 food items for 931 families and had the satisfaction of knowing that we can all do small things to make a big difference in the lives of people in need." Last year, the Food Bank of the Rockies and its partner agencies distributed 26.3 million pounds of food and non-food essentials, which adds up to 20 million meals, to hungry children, families and senior citizens.

"Our volunteers are the heart of what we do. Last year, volunteers accounted for the equivalent of 35 full-time staff members," said Kevin Seggelke, president & CEO, Food Bank of the Rockies. "We wouldn't be able to keep our doors open without the generosity of groups like Molson Coors. We deeply appreciate all that our volunteers do for us and our neighbors in need on a daily basis." The volunteer initiative was part of the first annual Molson Coors Month of Action where Molson Coors employees in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. dedicated themselves to taking action and bettering their communities. Molson Coors employees worldwide volunteered at more than 20 organizations including St.

Peters Arboretum, Feed Nova Scotia, Habitat for Humanity, Urban Peak, and Hear and Stroke Foundation. In total, over 1,000 Molson Coors employees contributed nearly 5,000 hours of volunteer time during the month of April.
