According to the Financial Times,Motorola is developing a digital tablet device that will allow users to watch television on it, as the US mobile phone group attempts to chip away at a market established by Apple’s popular iPad.
The device will have a 10-inch screen, operate on Google’s Android software, and be carried by Verizon. It could launch as early as this autumn in the US, the paper says.
What’s the trade?
I think this could be an iPad killer, says Steve Grasso and I’d buy Motorola off this.
I’d buy Verizon in the wake of the news, says Brian Kelly. They pay a dividend so you'd be paid to wait.
