The retailer calls this boat “the ultimate romantic retreat.”
With a 48-foot by 12-foot open floor plan and 7-foot high interior ceiling, it has been designed and built as an intimate luxury loft that just happens to float. This love nest includes amenties such as a Bang & Olufsen stereo, high-definition projector, Nintendo Wii gaming console and Sony LCD flat screen monitor as well as a gourmet kitchen and a spa bathroom.
In 1960, Stanley Marcus debuted the first “his and hers” fantasy gift: matching Beechcraft airplanes that cost $176,000—an eye-popping amount at the time.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of this event, the retailer offers up a precious jewelry charm bracelet with charms depicting memorable “his and hers” gifts of the past: an airplane, a Chinese Junk, a hot air balloon, a camel, a sarcophagus, a Buffalo calf, a windmill, an ostrich, a Shar-Pei puppy, a robot and a vintage motorcycle.
