You know it's baaaaaad when they start calling in the sheep.
After Pennsylvania slashed $900 million from the education budget, school districts had to start getting creative.
In Carlisle, Penn., where they took a $2 million hit, the school district has done some progressive things like installing solar panels to save on energy costs. Their latest effort is a little more low-tech: They brought in seven Romney sheep to mow the grass.
The sheep, which usually sell for around $200, didn’t cost anything — they actually belong to the principal of the middle school.
“They’ve done a good job,” Schools Superintendent John Friend was quoted as saying on Stateline.org.
A stroke of shear genius.
