Trader Comment: I think it was an oil related move, says Karen Finerman. It's traded as a proxy for oil.
The Mover: Sandisk (SNDK) popped 3%.
Trader Comment: Love, love it, says Joe Terranova. I'm a buyer with a stop out at $35.50
The Mover: Newmont Mining (NEM) popped 3%.
Trader Comment: If the uptrend in gold stays in tact I think NEM goes higher, says Brian Stutland, but once gold drops I'd look for Newmont to reverse course.
DROPS (stocks that slid lower)
The Mover: Quicksilver Resources (KWK) dropped 9%.
Trader Comment: The stock has dropped sharply over the summer, says Tim Seymour, I'd keep my distance.
The Mover: Smithfield Foods (SFD) dropped 9%.
Trader Comment: Pork sales were bad, says Guy Adami. I expect shorts to lean on this one again tomorrow.
The Mover: Alpha Natural Resources (ANR) dropped 5%.
Trader Comment: It's nearing a 52-week low, says JJ Kinahan, I'd avoid it.
