According to Evan Gold vice president of client services for Planalytics.com although many storms can be a net-negative for business, this one is actually be a net-positive based on the fact that it is driving consumers to purchase products much earlier than they typically do.
”Products like boots, sweaters and outerwear – products that would be purchased later in the season may be purchased sooner because consumers are now in a winter mind-set,” Gold says.
How should you trade the trend?
"I think the trade is long Deckers," says Joe Terranova. "Between $110-$115 I'd get behind it." And I'd also look at Amazon ," he says.
