"Mad Money" host Jim Cramer picks companies to watch next week.
Hewlett-Packard will report fourth-quarter earnings after the market closes. “I say be prepared to be disappointed,” Cramer said. Challenges for the world’s largest computer maker include more expensive disk drives due to the Thai flood and more competition from Dell and Apple.
Tech Data releases its earnings before the open. Cramer will watch what the company says about demand because it’s “a supermarket of tech parts … and few can give us a better reading of the tech health.”
DSW will report in the morning. Great numbers from Footlocker, a dividend boost from Nike despite the NBA lockout and strong results from Deckers makes Cramer bullish on this stock.
Pandora Media “seemed not to care all that much about profitability” since it went public. Cramer called it “imperative” the company announces good news in light of the stock’s lackluster performance.
Deere is “always so gloomy about themselves and their prospects that it’s tough not to wait until after the quarter to buy,” Cramer said. “Management’s just so incredibly cautious that you need guys like me to tell you the truth about their quarter, and the truth is that it will be pretty darned good.”
At publication time, Cramer's charitable trust owned Deere.
