Grab These 2 Tech Stocks on the Pullback

Top ISI analyst Brian Marshall suggests putting two tech stocks on your radar; one of which he calls a coiled spring.

Juniper is Marshall’s top pick. “I think this company has the best opportunity from a product cycle perspective,” he says.

And looking at the stock’s action he thinks it’s about to play a game of catch-up. “It’s the worst performing stock in my coverage universe,” says Marshall “down about 50% ytd.

In other words, the bar is set low. “Expectations are low” making it more likely the company can beat expectations. In turn better than expected results should drive shares. "It's a coiled spring," he says.

Marshall also thinks VMWare is a buy on the pullback. ”They’re the Microsoft of operating systems for the cloud,” he says. “The company has grown 30-40% historically and we don’t see any reason for it to slow down.”

Pete Najarian agrees. He think investors sold this stock indiscriminately after Oracle released weaker than expected earnings. It’s an ‘all-star type pick,’ he says.
