With shares up 90% ytd, can El Paso possibly continue to gain in 2012?
According to The Fast Money traders, the short answer is yes.
“I think this stock continues to rock,” says trader Jon Najarian. “I see the company as a steady grower.”
Brian Kelly likes El Paso because he sees it as a proxy for nat gas – and he expects nat gas to get more attention in the new year.
“You get exposure to shale gas without the fluctuations in the spot price,” he explains.
“Also the US is becoming a net exporter of natural gas,” reminds Mike Murphy. He thinks that could be a major catalyst.
All told, according to the Fast pros the play for El Paso may be ‘buy high and sell higher.’
