Airline stocks have had a rough go of late, but some carriers are still managing to post impressive results.
JetBlue is among those airlines.
On Wednesday JetBlue reported its highest-ever second quarter profit.
By the numbers, JetBlueearned $52 million, or 16 cents per share, compared with $25 million, or 8 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 11 percent to $1.28 billion with strength due in part to JetBlue's ability to win more business travelers. (The results were in line with what analysts expected.)
