TOKYO, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei share average fellat Tuesday's open on growing concern that companies will slashfull-year earnings forecasts when they announce quarterlyearnings, after the World Bank warned China's slowdown could bemore protracted than thought.

lost 0.4 percent to 734.44.
