Over 25,000 Votes Already Cast in European Business Awards’ Online Ballot

Online Resource Showcases 400 of the Most Dynamic Businesses in Europe

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- With over 25,000 online votes already cast in the European Business Awards’ public vote, participation rates have far exceeded organisers’ expectations. Since the video presentations and public voting mechanic went live just over three weeks ago, the website - – has seen more than 100,000 additional visitors who have come to the site to watch and learn from the most dynamic companies in Europe.

The site features video submissions from all 400 National Finalists, who are each competing to be selected as a National Champion for their country. This is the first year that entrants have been asked to produce a video; telling their business story in just five minutes. As word spreads, especially through social media channels, more and more people are visiting the site to learn from best-in-class businesses before voting for their favourites.

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says, “For the first time ever, we have an online resource that showcases 400 of the most exciting businesses in Europe, each sharing their experiences and best practice in up-to-date video case studies. It is a rich information source for the wider business community who want to learn more about the accomplishments of the best companies in Europe. It is our responsibility as Europe’s major business awards programme to work with our finalists to help broaden their audience and provide greater business insight. By introducing a public vote alongside our panel of 125 expert judges, we hope to inspire, engage and stimulate the debate about the future shape, form and substance of European business.”

The online public vote ends on 17 October 2012, at which time the company video with the highest number of votes for each country will automatically get through to the next round of voting and become a National Champion. In addition, the judging panel will be viewing all the videos and will award National Champion status to between five and 20 other organisations per country. Successful National Champions will be announced in November 2012.

Between November 2012 and January 2013, the National Champions will be reassessed by a third panel of judges made up of Europe-wide business leaders, academics and entrepreneurs who will award the top 110 organisations the coveted Ruban d’Honneur status. Finally, after face-to-face presentations, the Ruban d’Honneur recipients will be honoured and the names of the overall winners will be revealed at a Gala awards ceremony in April 2013.
