European shares turn negative on earnings concerns

LONDON, Oct 9 (Reuters) - European shares gave up earlygains and turned negative on Tuesday as persistent concerns overa slowdown in global growth and its impact on corporate earningsweighed on investor sentiment.

At 0730 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 index of topEuropean shares was down 0.2 percent at 1,098.58 points afterrising as high as 1,104.04 earlier in the session.
