Seoul shares end slightly lower, led by large caps

SEOUL, Oct 9 (Reuters) - South Korean stocks ended slightlylower on Tuesday, with the benchmark index weighed down byheavyweights such as Samsung Electronics and HyundaiMotor .

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI)finished down 0.14 percent at 1,979.04 points, trimming gainsearlier in the day. The index also closed lower on Monday.
