UPDATE 1-Best Buy CFO departing, company to look for replacement

Oct 9 (Reuters) - Best Buy Co Inc's chief financialofficer, James Muehlbauer, is leaving the embattled retailerafter more than a decade, the company said on Tuesday.

Best Buy said it is looking for a replacement.

Muehlbauer will stay at the electronics retailer throughfiscal 2013, which ends on Feb. 3, unless both parties agree toan earlier termination.

A Best Buy spokeswoman was not immediately available tocomment on why Muehlbauer is leaving or where he was going.

Best Buy, the world's largest consumer electronics storechain, recently replaced its chief executive after former CEOBrian Dunn left abruptly due to an ethics probe.

The new CEO, Frenchman Hubert Joly, is trying to turn arounda company whose stores have often become showrooms for onlineretailers like Amazon.com Inc , as shoppers go there tocheck out products like high-definition televisions but then buythem elsewhere for less.
