CareView Communications, Inc. Awarded GSA Contract to Provide Services to VA and DOD Hospitals

LEWISVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CareView Communications, Inc. ("CareView" or the "Company") (OTCQB: CRVW), an information technology provider to the healthcare industry, announced today that it received approval from the US General Services Administration ("GSA") to be included on its Multiple Award Schedule program through which CareView can provide its products and services to Veteran's Administration ("VA") medical facilities, Department of Defense ("DOD") hospitals and other federal agencies. This approval allows the Company to sell the CareView System™ at a negotiated rate to the approximate 169 VA facilities with over 39,000 licensed beds and the approximate 42 DOD hospitals with over 2,600 licensed beds.

The GSA's Multiple Award Schedule is one of the most widely accepted government contract vehicles available to agency procurement officers. GSA's application process requires potential vendors to be recognized as highly credible and well established. As a GSA contract holder, CareView's products and services are now listed and available on the GSA Schedule Contract #GS-07F-020AA.

Samuel Greco, the Company's Chief Executive Officer, stated, "The GSA award is an important component to CareView’s overall sales strategy. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of negotiations with the GSA and can now work to fulfill requests to provide services to military hospitals. The current interest from private hospitals coupled with the new interest from VA and DOD hospitals positions CareView as the standard of care in both sectors."

Heartland Energy Partners, LLC ("Heartland"), designated as a Veteran Owned Small Business by the Department of Veterans Affairs, entered into a contract with CareView that became effective upon the granting of the GSA award. Gordon H. Mansfield, the Former Deputy Secretary of Veteran Affairs and decorated war veteran, serves on the Advisory Board for Heartland. With this GSA award, Mr. Mansfield and his group will work with CareView to implement the CareView System in the VA and DOD hospitals. CareView has also contracted with two experienced VA sales people to provide support to Mr. Mansfield’s group regarding the sales and deployment to the VA and DOD.

The two modules approved by the GSA include the Primary Care package and the patient/room management application. The Primary Care package includes Virtual Bed Rails™, NurseView® and PatientView® to allow hospital personnel to keep our soldiers safe and permit loved ones to visit them via video from anywhere in the world. The patient/room management application is used by housekeeping and nursing to allow for the scheduling and management of time critical events such as wound dressing, patient room rounding, catheter changes and room assignment. By utilizing mobile communication devices, the nursing staff not only has a constant reminder of tasks that need to be performed, but they can also remotely view their patients who need extra supervision from anywhere in the hospital.
