BERLIN, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Germany will continue talks totake over shares in European planemaker EADS fromcarmaker Daimler through the KfW state developmentbank , the government said after merger talks betweenEADS and BAE Systems collapsed.
The government acknowledged the decision on Wednesday of thetwo companies to abandon its merger talks, Chancellor AngelaMerkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert said in a statement, addingthat Berlin had full confidence in the EADS management.
"The German government will ... continue negotiations ontaking over shares held by Daimler through the KfW," saidSeibert.
